Module 9 – Developing Your Leadership Style

Many line managers confuse leadership with ‘being the boss’. But that’s just management – real leadership means inspiring and motivating staff, and taking responsibility for their failures and success.

Leadership is critical to engagement right across your organisation. As the UK government’s 2008 ‘MacLeod report’ argues: “Failure of leadership and management is the main cause of poor employee engagement.”

This module teaches line managers, whatever their level, to become true leaders.

Participants learn:
• The different styles of leadership. What are the pros and cons of each?
• How to define your own leadership style – so you can inspire others and still be yourself
• See which leadership behaviours generate results in others. We’ll give you a ‘checklist’ to take away that you can measure yourself against
